Healthy Eating
I aim to provide children with varied and nutritious snacks and to teach them about having a well-balanced diet. I aim to make food appealing to encourage children to try new things. When planning snack menus I strive to work towards achieving the ‘5 a day’ portions of fruit and vegetables.
All children are provided with fresh water to drink freely throughout the day in age appropriate drinking cups.
If your child has special dietary requirements/preferences or allergies please discuss them with me and I will do my best to accommodate these requirements.
Below is an indication of the types of snacks I provide.
Snacks
Fresh Fruits
Dried fruits - raisins, apricots, sultanas
Bread sticks
Rice cakes
Brioche
Croissants
Homemade cakes and biscuits
Vegetable sticks and dips
Crumpets
Toast
Cheese and crackers
Melba toast
